The process of editing of copy happens before proofreading and is more complex.
Wordsmith's copy editing service includes:
checking spelling, punctuation and capitalisiton
correcting grammatical errors
rewriting parts of the copy as required - for example, to fit an organisation’s house style
researching and writing additional material if required
identifying possible factual errors
In cases where the edited copy needs to be substantially re-written, this work may incur a higher rate.
